About Legacy Lawyers Group

Monika Johnson is the founder and President of Legacy Lawyers Group, a Memphis based law firm focused in the areas of estate planning, probate, contracts, business entity formation and quiet title actions.

Born in Hollywood, CA and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Attorney Johnson holds a B.A. in English from Rust College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.  She also holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphrey School of Law.

Attorney Johnson started her career as a litigation attorney at an insurance defense law firm, but was recruited to serve as a senior attorney and Chief Ethics Officer for a local municipality.  Attorney Johnson also served  as Chief Equity Officer and Chief of Staff for a local community college prior to launching her law firm.

Attorney Johnson is the Past President of the Ben F. Jones Chapter of the National Bar Association and a past recipient of The Women of Excellence Award.  She has over 20 years of experience practicing law.
